Applied AI Engineer (October 2025)

About the Role

As an Applied AI Engineer, you’ll definitely have the coolest job title, but let’s figure out what that means :) You’ll be responsible for developing, training, and fine-tuning AI models to meet the needs of our healthcare product. Your role will involve shaping and integrating these models into our platform, ensuring they deliver impactful, scalable features for the MVP and beyond. This requires a deep understanding of AI frameworks and techniques, going far beyond simply connecting to external APIs.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience working in applied AI, machine learning, or data science
• Proficiency in AI frameworks and tools such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Hugging Face
• Experience fine-tuning and deploying large language models or other machine learning models in production
• Ability to integrate AI solutions seamlessly into broader software architectures
• Strong problem-solving skills and a pragmatic approach to balancing research with application
• Excellent communication skills—you’ll work closely with me, and while I have a strong understanding of healthcare, my technical AI knowledge is limited
